Back when I was still working as a Collections Agent in a certain call center in Quezon City, I was asked by my co- worker to accompany her to the convenience store to get some food. Once there, she forced me to buy this , i don't exactly remember if it was a candy or a chewing gum, which contained quotes. Let's just say its a modern fortune cookie. Well just to be a sport, I said "What the heck" and opened the rolled up piece of paper. I was expecting the piece of paper to have some corny love message or something but what I got actually made an impact in my life. For me it was like a wake up call and actually made me think about stuff that happened in my life. The passage read:
"God's best gifts to us are not things but opportunities"
Indeed, if we really try to look at the blessings that we received from Him, he doesn't give it outright. He sends us certain ways and means so we could reach our dreams and aspirations. And the best thing about God's gifts is that He gives us more than what we have asked for. When He gives, it's overflowing. That's how He loves us. All we need to do is wait for His time. If what we have asked for is good for us, why wouldn't He give it... right? If you asked God for something, then be prepared to wait and keep an eye on that opportunity that He will send your way.
I once asked Him for love, and He sent me a person who represents all that I ever wanted in a girl. And the best thing about it is that..... she loves me back.
